PLG AN has arrived! :-)

Woohoo, my new toy has arrived. A Yamaha AN-1x on a circuit board 8 by 8 inches. Interesting. Installation was a 35 second process even though I didn't expect it so easy. Thank you, Yamaha. And thank you, my friend Loomeer for the tip. Now is the time to check out the sounds.

Well, where do I start...? Maybe I expected a preset heaven but this is rather a dry sounding almost no effect thing. And this is actually how every synth should be. Just plain (virtual) analog sounds you would expect from a virtual analog synthesizer :-) First flaw I noticed (although it is rather a cosmetic flaw) is that the presets are not categorized. Category simply reads --. Some may be ok with it, but sometimes I like to browse presets by category. No big deal though.

So, that's it for a first look, I will definitely do some demos and post them on my YouTube channel.
